The Model 6377 infrared temperature probe converts any digital multimeter (DMM) into a non-contact thermometer with no need for adapters or extra instruments. Plugging directly into the voltage jacks of the DMM, the probe can measure temperatures from 0°F to 500°F, switchable to -18°C to +260°C. The Model 6381 offers and extended range, in Fahrenheit only, of 32°F to 1000°F.
According to the company, the probe can safely carry out measurements in environments that are virtually impossible for contact sensors. These include moving objects, strong electromagnetic fields, internal process chambers, as well as static-sensitive devices.
List price for the standard 6377 is $175 and the extended Fahrenheit-range only 6381 is $200. Both models are available immediately.
