Designed to provide design engineers with a new level of speed and flexibility in analyzing long, complex, high-speed signals or signals with very fast edges, the WaveMaster digital storage oscilloscopes (DSOs) can capture signals operating at bandwidths of up to 5 GHz and can provide sophisticated measurements using a new architecture called X-Stream. According to the company, X-Stream represents an extremely fast streaming architecture for handling and analyzing data in a digital scope. With this technology, high data throughput is possible, even when the scope is performing complex measurements.Acquisition memory lengths available for WaveMaster DSOs start with a standard length of 500 kpts on each of four input channels and extend to 24 Mpts per channel. In all cases, the data acquisition memory length is doubled if only one or two of the inputs is used. Digitizing rate is 10 GS/s on each of the four input channels. Four-channel, 5-GHz WaveMasters with 500 kpts per channel costs $54,990. LECROY CORP., Chestnut Ridge, NY. (800) 453-2769.
