The YTV-1000 tabletop, optical-inspection system provides automated inspection and detection of solder and lead defects, component presence and position, correct part, polarity, and through-hole components. Employing the company's Thin Camera, the system can also be employed for pre- and post-reflow or final assembly inspection. Reportedly, it has a low false-failure rate resulting from image processing technology that integrates several techniques, including color, normalized correlation, and rule-based algorithms. Due to an intuitive interface to programming features, users are expected to take less than 30 minutes to create a complete inspection program, including solder inspection. Other features include a standard software library and remote programming. Price with options is under $50,000. YESTECH INC., San Clemente, CA. (949) 361-2714.
