Two additions to the company's line of PXI controllers team up with the LabVIEW real-time (RT) module to elevate RT performance in automated data-acquisition applications. First up in the duo, the PXI-8187 supports a 2.5-GHz Pentium 4 processor and up to 1 GB of DDRRAM. This combo allows users to take advantage of additional processing power for applications, such as hardware-in-the-loop testing, rapid control prototyping, and machine condition monitoring. For mid-range, cost-conscious duties, the PXI-8184 relies on an 850-MHz Celeron processor. Prices for the PXI-8187 and PXI-8184 start at $4,995 and $2,495 each, respectively.
