Taking stage as the industry's first single-instrument that includes all key measurement and calibration parameters for signal generators and fixed and variable attenuators, the FSMR measuring receiver eliminates the need to bundle numerous instruments and a PC. The instrument combines a level calibrator, AM, FM, and PM analyzers, an audio analyzer with THD and SINAD capabilities, RF power meter, and a spectrum analyzer. Available in frequency ranges from 20 Hz to 3.5 GHz, 26.5 GHz, and 50 GHz, measurements include output-level accuracy, carrier-frequency accuracy, setting accuracy of modulation depth and deviation, weighted and un-weighted spurious modulation, and modulation frequency response, distortion, and frequency. Parameters are traceable to NIST and other national standards organizations. Spectrum analysis capabilities include detectors for RMS, peak (auto, maximum, and minimum), sample, average, and quasi-peak detection. Resolution filters range from 10 Hz to 50 MHz and FFT filters from 1 Hz to 30 kHz. Standard EMI filters are 200 Hz, 9 kHz, and 120 kHz. Analysis functions include time-domain power, CCDF, noise/phase noise marker, standards-based channel and adjacent-channel power, and peak list marker for searches of all peaks within a given frequency range. Additional features include a linearity of ±0.015 dB (±0.005 dB deviation per 10 dB steps), measurement range from -130 dBm to +30 dBm, the ability to set measurement bandwidth between 100 Hz and 10 MHz, and the ability to measure modulation depth, frequency deviation, and phase deviation with a measurement uncertainty of less than 1%. Users can display audio and demodulated signals in both frequency and time domains. Pricing starts from $65,900. ROHDE & SCHWARZ, Columbia, MD. (410) 910-7800.
