The sockets are available in all grid sizes and pin pitches of 0.5, 0.65, 0.75, 0.8, 1, and 1.27 mm. Mounting styles include, through-hole, surface mount, and solderless compression fit. Other features include a contact and retention-system life of 10,000 cycles minimum and an individual contact force of 40g maximum. Pricing for the BGA Quick Lock solderless-compression-socket starts at $846 each. EMULATION TECHNOLOGY INC., Santa Clara, CA. (800) 232-7837.
