The PXI-8195 and PXI-8196 debut as the industry's first PXI controllers to enlist Intel's mobile 915GM Express chipset. Additionally, the PXI-8196 exploits the power of a 2 GHz Pentium M 760 processor, reportedly boosting its overall performance by more than 50% when compared to existing PXI controllers operating with a 2.5 GHz Mobile Pentium 4. The PXI-8195 employs 1.5 GHz Intel Celeron M 370. Both controllers support dual-channel DDR2 RAM up to 2 GB and provide Gigabit Ethernet interfaces. They operate with the company's suite of modular instruments and seamlessly integrate with LabVIEW, TestStand, LabWindows/CVI, C, C , Visual Basic, and Visual Studio .NET. The controllers come with Microsoft Windows XP Professional pre-installed and also include hard-drive based recovery for restoring user systems back to the factory default.
