The MP1590B network performance tester provides a number of unique analysis capabilities, including 2.5G Ethernet over SONET (EoS), 10/100/1000 Mb plus 10 Gb Ethernet, and advanced link capacity adjustment scheme (LCAS). Also said to be unique, the instrument features a virtual concatenation differential delay function in through mode, GFP capture function and high-layer protocol analysis, numerous GFP real-time counters for SONET through Layer 4 frames, and a multi-layer measurement capability. Its multi-flow counters tally up to 65,000 traffic flows, and the network tester can perform VLAN 802.1 Q-in-Q measurements and full IP protocol analysis. Additionally, the instrument supports ITU-T O.172/O.173 jitter analysis up to 10.7G with what is reportedly the industry’s highest accuracy of ±20 mUI. Depending on configuration, price starts at $17,105. ANRITSU CO., Richardson, TX. (800) 267-4878.
