The company now offers a National Instruments plug-and-play certified instrument driver for controlling its RMC family of motion controllers via Ethernet and serial communications. According to the company, the instrument driver holds the highest rating to date at 5.0. In addition to the plug-and-play LabVIEW driver, an ActiveX Control and .Net Assembly for use with languages such as Visual Basic, VBA, Visual C++, C#, VBScript, and JavaScript are also available. The RMC motion controllers are commonly found in hydraulic, pneumatic and electric closed-loop controls in an array of single and multi-axis NDT applications including medical prosthesis testing, aerospace component testing, and metals and forest materials strength testing. They rely on RMCTools software that provides flexible user programs with an extensive command set, mathematical expressions, setup wizards, automated loop tuning wizards, and an intuitive plot manager for graphical diagnostics.
