Strutting its stuff as the industry's first wideband arbitrary waveform generator (ARB) to deliver 1.25 Gsamples/s and 15 bits of vertical resolution simultaneously, the 3U CompactPCI N6030A provides dual differential output channels to drive both single-ended and balanced designs. Each independent channel specifies 500 MHz of instantaneous analog bandwidth and more than 65 dBc of spurious free dynamic range. When paired with the company's PSG vector signal generator, bandwidth expands to 1 GHz. A single module can drive eight total modules to create synchronous operation on a sample-by-sample basis. Options include memory depths of either 8 or 16 Msamples/s. Additionally, multiple interfaces are included such as MATLAB, LabView, IVI-C, and Microsoft.NET framework, as well as a software suite with an intuitive graphical user interface. Price starts at $50,000. AGILENT TECHNOLOGIES INC., Palo Alto, CA. (800) 235-0312.
