Enabling developers to transform low-end stand-alone products into connected devices, SEGGER has released a complete USB to Internet development tool

Enabling developers to transform low-end stand-alone products into connected devices, SEGGER has released a complete USB to Internet development tool. emUSB-RNDIS allows USB devices to act as virtual network adapters, able to run any TCP/IP based application including USB based webservers. With an appropriate application server in the firmware of the USB-connected device, any internet service on a host computer can access it and the host can then allow the USB device to access the LAN and Internet if desired. emUSB-RNDIS comes as a whole packet and contains: generic USB handling, RNDIS device class implementation, a network interface driver which uses embOS/IP as a TCP/IP stack, and a sample application demonstrating how to work with RNDIS.
