Suitable for use in 802.11n access points, routers, and gateways, the 20-pin SKY65152-11 and the 16-pin SKY65165-11 microwave monolithic integrated circuit (MMIC) power amplifiers measure 6 mm x 6 mm and 3 mm x 3 mm, respectively.

Suitable for use in 802.11n access points, routers, and gateways, the 20-pin SKY65152-11 and the 16-pin SKY65165-11 microwave monolithic integrated circuit (MMIC) power amplifiers measure 6 mm x 6 mm and 3 mm x 3 mm, respectively. The devices enable multiple-transmit channels on PCBs, translating into configuration space savings. In addition, the mid-power PA offers two operating points in a single-device. Both are fabricated using a heterojunction bipolar transistor (HBT) indium gallium phosphide (InGaP) process, which allows for single supply operation while maintaining efficiency and linearity. The high-power SKY65152-11 is fully-matched and integrates a directional power coupler for accurate power detection. The mid-power SKY65165-11 is internally matched at the RF input and integrates a power detector. Prices for the SKY65152-11 and the SKY65165-11 are $1.58 and $1.15 each/10,000.
