Debuting as the first in a series of isolated gate-driver optocouplers from NEC, the BiCMOS PS9552 optocoupler delivers up to 2.5A of output current with reportedly high common mode transient immunity and fast switching speeds. Designed for driving IGBTs and power MOSFETs, the device is suitable for motor drive, inverter, induction heating, and servo applications. Specifications include a peak output current of 2.5A maximum, CMR of ±15 kV/µs minimum, switching speed of 0.5 µs maximum, and a propagation delay difference of ±0.35 µs maximum.
