Setting up shop in a 6-pin SDIP, as opposed to a 50% larger 8-pin DIP, the TLP701 takes position as the smallest, safety-standard compliant photocoupler currently available. Safety approvals include UL and TUV (1) with similar approvals expected from BSI and SEMKO. The device specifies an internal clearance of 7 mm, creepage distance of 7 mm, and an isolation thickness of 0.4 mm. Operating in temperatures from -40°C to +100°C, maximum power consumption is 2 mA with a peak output current of 0.6A. Price is $0.90 each in sample quantities.
