An Advanced Mezzanine Card (AMC) processor with CFP2 front-panel port developed by VadaTech offers 100G capabilities. The AMC837 Processor AMC integrates a Cavium Octeon II CN6880 multicore processor and Virtex-7 FPGA. The CFP2 port can take on four 25-Gbit/s lanes or ten 10-Gbit/s lanes. The double-module, full-size board features several banks of DDR3 memory, serial-over-LAN capabilities, and a true hardware random number generator. For mass storage, there’s an on-board Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC) socket. Other front-panel interfaces include dual RJ-45 and dual RS-232 ports, and LED indicators. The AMC738 has port routing for PCI Express and Gigabit Ethernet to the backplane.
