Analog Output Pods Come In High And Low Power Models

Dec. 1, 2000

The RDA128 low-power and RDAG128-H high-power analog output pods provide eight 12-bit, double-buffered 4 to 20 mA analog current and software-selectable voltage (0 to 5V, 0 to 10V, or ±5V) outputs. The high-power pods can drive loads up to 250 mA and the low-power pods, up to 10 mA. Each of the eight on-board D/A converters can be simultaneously or individually updated and all calibration is performed via software. Both models provide seven digital I/O ports that can be configured on a bit-by-bit basis as inputs or as high current outputs with a cumulative total of 650 mA. The RDA128 comes in a NEMA 4-compliant enclosure and operates in temperatures from -40°C to 80°C. The RDAG128-H is available in a non-sealed T-Box and handles temperatures from 0°C to 50°C. Programming uses ASCII-based command/response protocol and included software provides graphic-setup and calibration programs and a sample program in C. Prices for the RDA128 and RDAG128-H are $585 and $615, respectively, with delivery from stock to one week ARO.
