Occupying only 1 in.2 of board space, the DMS-20PC series of 3.5-digit digital panel meters (DPMs) now includes brilliant blue LED displays. Based on 470-nm, indium-gallium-nitride (InGaN) blue-LED technology, the devices have a 9.2-mm display that's easily viewable from as far as 15 feet away. The displays draw less than 85 mA from a single 5-V supply. Four differential, high-impedance input ranges are available: ±200 mV, ±2 V, ±20 V, and ±200 V. A built-in, high-contrast blue filter enables the DPMs to be used in standalone, pc-board-mount applications. No additional bezels, filters, or polarizers are required. The DMS-20PC-BS meters are housed in an epoxy-encapsulated, 12-pin DIP-style plastic package. When mounted in panels, the package has a 1.38- by 0.88-in. footprint. Pricing starts at $50 each in single quantities and drops to $33 each in quantities of 500 pieces.
