Coin Cell Holders Serve Memory Protection Apps

A pair of low-profile lithium coin cell battery holders-- Model SN-2032-1 and Model SN-2430-1-- are designed to optimize contact, retention and ease of insertion in memory protection assignments in computers, electronic games, and other space-critical designs. The contacts reside in a black, Valox 420 SEO PBT housing featuring three, 1.5 x 2.5 mm pc board mounting pads, with contacts extending 4 mm below the board surface. Model SN-2032-1 offers 0.5-mm thick contacts constructed from tin-plated spring steel, extends only 7.4 mm above the pc board, and holds cells 20 mm in diameter by 2.0 to 3.2 mm thick. Model SN-2430-1 offers 0.6-mm thick contacts constructed from tin-plated, high-retention PBR05190 phosphor bronze, extends only 8.3 mm above the board, and holds cells 25 to 25 mm in diameter by 2.0 to 3.0 mm thick. Both models are priced at about $0.25 each/10,000.
