Connector Takes Aim At Controlled Impedance Applications

product pic

Designed to provide superior electrical interface, the AARON (Accurate Alignment, cam Rotating, circuit Orienting Network) Connector features the company's Dynamic Contact Cluster (DCC) technology. This is said to eliminate the need for stamped contacts by enabling the conductor of a circuit to interface directly with the conductor of a pc board without requiring a mating header. Because the connector system can connect flexible printed circuits and flat flexible cables directly to the conductor of a pc board, the number of parts that could fail is reduced. The result is a high-density connector with up to 80 contacts per inch.
The connector accommodates connector designs with pitches down to 0.25 mm or less. The system's planar contact design makes it suited for controlled impedance applications.
