DSP Board Supports Fixed And Floating Point Processors

Oct. 1, 1998

Supporting either two TMS320C6201 (fixed point) or two TMS320C6701 (floating point) processors operating at up to 200 MHz, the PCI/C6600 DSP board delivers 3200 MIPS/2 GFLOPS of processing power for applications such as medical imaging, telecommunications test equipment, and industrial test and measurement. Architectural commonality between the fixed and floating point devices makes it relatively easy for designers to transition between the two boards. An extensive set of development tools, utilities and libraries provided with the board ensure a common software environment so minimal changes are required to migrate between processors as projects progress.
