Available in both an 8-pin SOP and 8-pin SSOP package, the BR93 series of small capacity serial EEPROMs come with memories from 1 kbits to 4 kbits and are well-suited for memory boards, cell phones, smart cards, monitors, pagers, air conditioners, consumer audio equipment, and applications where small EEPROMs are needed.Each device consists of from 64 to 256 words x 16 bits, depending on its size. Each work can be accessed individually for reading or writing. Operation control is performed using four types of commands. And because the devices use the CMOS technology, they consume very little current- typically 0.5 mA when active to less than 0.4 µA when in standby mode.
