Eight Bit MCUs Feature Low Pin Count

Expanding the company's PIC line, the PIC16F684, PIC16F688, and PIC12F683 8-bit microcontrollers come in 8-pin SOIC and 14-pin TSSOP packages with up to 7,168 bytes of flash memory and several peripheral options with integrated nanoWatt technology. Shared features include an operating voltage from 2V to 5.5V, on-board EEPROM, up to eight channels of 10-bit a/d conversion, and up to two comparators. The PIC12F683 comes with the company's capture/compare/PWM module and the PIC16F688 features an EUSART peripheral that supports RS232/485 communications and the LIN protocol.
