With the 970FX Evaluation Platform Package, developers can get up to speed quickly when using an IBM dual 970FX Power PC processor system. The 1.4-GHz 970FX processor consumes only 12.3 W. The ATX system comes with 1 Gbyte of double-data-rate SDRAM. Peripherals include a 20-Gbyte integrated-development-environment hard disk and CD-ROM drive. The M-Systems Disk-on-Chip is preloaded with Linux and Busybox. The 970FX Evaluation Platform Package goes for $4500.
