The Poseidon single-board computer (SBC) sports up to a 2-GHz VIA Eden ULV or 1-GHz VIA C7 processor with up to 512 Mbytes of 533-MHz DDR2 (double-data-rate) RAM. It includes the latest interfaces, such as four USB 2.0, Gigabit Ethernet, and Serial ATA mass storage. It also has four RS232 serial ports (two with RS422/485 capability) and an IDE interface. The autocalibrating analogtodigital converter (ADC) interface provides solid analog performance. It includes 32-channel, 16-bit analog inputs with a 250-KHz sampling rate, four 12-bit digital-to-analog converter (DAC) outputs, 24 programmable digital I/O lines, and two counter/timers. Video support uses the VIA UniChrome Pro 2D/3D graphics engine with AGP 8x level performance and integral MPEG-2 hardware acceleration. The standard EPIC architecture supports PC/104-Plus expansion. The Poseidon costs less than $700.
