Meant for rugged, military environments, the VCP P3A single-board computer (SBC) meets the FBCB2 Common Card program's stringent hardware and software requirements. The board is equipped with a 1-GHz Pentium processor, 512-Mbyte SDRAM with error-correction coding, a flash drive up to 1 Gbyte, two USB 2.0 ports, six high-speed 16550-compatible serial ports, and two 85C30-compatible serial ports, as well as 10/100BaseTX Ethernet and SCSI-2 single-ended 8/16-bit interfaces. Pricing for the VCP P3A starts at $5220. The SBC also is available in extended-temperature, rugged, and air- and conduction-cooled versions that operate from ­40°C to 85°C.
