Features-Packed SBC Claims Class Record

Feb. 1, 2000

With a footprint measuring in at just 5.75" (W) x 8" (L), the SBC-PII single-board computer (SBC) claims to provide more features than any SBC in its class. In addition to using the 100-MHz front side bus in conjunction with Celeron processors rated at up to 500 MHz, the board provides graphics support via a C&T 69030 video controller, up to 128 MB of SDRAM, dual IDE ports, Ultra DMA/33 support, a 10/100 Base T Ethernet interface, and PCI, USB and ISA expansion capabilities. A riser card may be used to add three PCI slots.On-board monitoring functions include temperature monitoring that allows the user to program software to ring an alarm if the temperature exceeds specification. Fan speed and power supply voltage levels are also monitored on-board. Sample code is provided for all monitoring functions. Power requirements are +5V at 4A, +12V at 0.4A, and-12V at 0.2A.
