Half-Size SBCs Accept Wide Range Of µPs

July 1, 1999

Said to be engineered for rugged industrial applications requiring desktop processing power, MSC-1500V series of single-board computers (SBCs) supports a wide choice of CPUs, including Intel’s Pentium P54C/P55C (MMX), AMD’s K5/K6/K6-2, Cyrix’s M1/M2, and IDT’s C6/Winchip 2 processors, with clock speeds from 75 to 450 MHz. These half-size ISA bus SBCs also support bus speeds from 66 to 100 MHz and have an on-board VGA/LCD controller covering resolutions up to 1024 x 768, two serial ports, an EIDE mode 4 controller with up to four drives, and two floppy drives. MSC-1500V cards also feature two 72-pin SIMM sockets that can hold up to 128 MB of FPM/EDO DRAM and comply with ACPI power management and PC ‘97 standards. MTBF is 50,000 hr.
