In partnership with Data Translation, Labtech has developed what is claimed as the first data acquisition hardware and software to support the open industry-standard API known as the Open Data Acquisition Standard (ODAS). From Data Translation comes ODASDvrDT, a 32-bit Microsoft COM-based ActiveX control that provides access to the functions of the company's data acquisition boards for any ODAS-compatible software. Labtech provides the application software part of the equation and has bundled ODAS support into Version 11 of its Labtech Notebook and Labtech Control software. ODAS is a new standard developed by the Open Data Acquisition Association, a group of manufacturers dedicated to providing users with interoperable standards for plug-and-play compatibility between data acquisition products.
