Infrared Thermometer Contains On-Board µP

Dec. 1, 2000

Housed in a 7.8" x 1.5" cylindrical container, the new Javelin is a non-contact, infrared thermometer that combines the company's proven optics with an advanced microprocessor. The device features an optical resolution of D/30, calibration accuracy of ±1% and repeatability of ±0.3%.
Operators can select settings for the following: peak picker for consistent measurement of intermittent targets or in the presence of periodic interference such as from dust or steam; emissivity offrom 0.10 to 1.00; output response time from 165 ms to 10s; and voltage and current output from 0 to 10 Vdc and 4 to 20 mA dc.
The Javelin infrared thermometer is available in fixed focal lengths of 100" and 8", for standard and close applications, respectively. It is also available in three different spectral ranges (4.8µ to 5.2µ; 7.5µ to 8.5µ; and 8µ to 14µ) and six different temperature sensing ranges (between -20°C and 750°C) to meet a wide range of process monitoring and quality-control applications. Price is $999.
