Capable of powering up to 16 CCFL LCD backlight tubes with a combined power from 10W to 60W, the MD Series of dc/ac inverters contains input and output connectors, as well as vacuum encapsulated transformers for increased reliability. The low-profile (0.669'' high) inverters dim with the use of an external analog control signal that interfaces to an on-board pulse width modulator. They dim to less than 0.5% duty cycle, providing an electrical dimming ratio of >200:1. Depending on the attached backlight assembly, optical dimming ratios can reach >1,000:1. A regulated 12 Vdc source powers the MD Series, which has operating temperatures of 0°C to +50°C (0°C to +70°C absolute maximum). Five mounting holes on each module make installation simple; mating locking input and output wiring harnesses are also available. Pricing is $49.67 each/1,000.
