Mechanically rugged, the overmolded design of the new Short-Circuit Junction Tee touts a tough corrosive resistance. Developed for Foundation fieldbus segments, the tee connects to all fieldbus devices. The circuit board is completely encapsulated in UV stable polyurethane, and the device’s stainless steel and nickel-plated brass connectors give the junction tee complete IP67 protection. Short circuit protection covers all six spurs; and the current to each spur is limited to 55 mA and lights up a red LED to indicate when a fault occurs. This isolates the network from an individual device failure. The Short Circuit Junction Tee is FM approved for Class 1, Div. 2 hazardous locations. And a bus-in/bus-out feature eliminates the need for an additional splitter tee. INTERLINKBT LLC, Plymouth, MN. (888) 546-5880.
