Sealed behind glass against chemical attack, operator abuse, vandalism, and hygienic washdown, the Series 75 102-key keyboards are available in panel and through-panel styles for indoor and outdoor public access and process control applications. The keyboards have no switching contacts, no membrane, and no moving parts. When a key is touched, changes in a high-frequency signal identify and activate the key within the keyboard matrix. Series 75 keyboards are designed for activation through any non-conductor such as toughened glass, ceramic, plastic, and marble, wood--even using gloved hands. The standard keyboard is sealed to IP66 standards with a service life that is said to far exceeds that of touch-screen or electromechanical designs. Signal outputs are matrix, PC/XT/AT/PS2 or RS-232.
