Designed for use in low power and space-critical applications, the ZXCL series low dropout regulators (LDOs) are offered in an ultra-small SC70 package. Measuring only 2 mm x 1.25 mm x 1.0 mm, the devices are said to be significantly smaller than comparable five-pin SOT23 regulators. Features include output currents up to 150 mA, quiescent currents as low as 25µA, and a shutdown mode that consumes less than 1µA. Operating with a 50-mA load, the regulators have a low dropout voltage of 85 mV. Each device in the series also features on-chip thermal overload and over-current protection and are also available in a five-pin SOT23 package with an industry-standard pinout. Prices start at $0.26 each/10,000 with delivery from stock to 16 weeks ARO for production volumes.
