The series HLMP low-power, high-performance, extra-bright LEDs are suitable for use in portable and solar-powered outdoor electronic signs and signal applications. Made by Avago Technologies, the HLMP-EGxx (red), the HLMP-ELxx (amber), and the HLMP-EHxx (red-orange) LEDs are 5-mm through-hole AlInGaP devices that can be auto-inserted onto a pc-board. They are available in untinted, non-diffused, T 1-3/4 packages to provide well-defined spatial radiation patterns at specific viewing-cone angles. Viewing angles of 15°, 23°, and 30° are available.

These extra-bright LEDs feature a low forward voltage of 1.8 to 2.4 V and a maximum operating temperature range of −40° to 100°. Maximum junction temperature is 130°C. Packages with or without lead standoffs are available. Prices for the HLMP series LEDs start at $0.13 each in 10,000-piece quantities. Samples and production quantities are available now.
