The bottlenecks that transformers can sometimes create on assembly lines are eliminated by the Shooter series of SMT magnetics modules, which are compatible with chip shooter equipment used for high-speed placement of chip capacitors and resistors.

The bottlenecks that transformers can sometimes create on assembly lines are eliminated by the Shooter series of SMT magnetics modules, which are compatible with chip shooter equipment used for high-speed placement of chip capacitors and resistors. The devices provide isolation and common-mode noise filtering for single-port, 10/100 LAN applications such as NICs, PC motherboards and cable modems. Five devices in the series provide 1:1, 2:1 or 1:1.414 transmit ratios. The 1:1 and 1:1.414 designs are also available with a noise-suppressing shunt choke. All are built using the firm's interlock base for more uniform positioning of coils, consistent wire routing, and a more reliable connection between wires and the lead.
