Simplified pc-board layout and manufacture can be achieved when the CJS compact, surface-mount jumper switches are used in place of conventional jumper pin and wire arrangements. Some typical applications include VME and CPU boards, security cameras, and tele-communications equipment. Measuring just 5.4 by 2.5 by 2.5 mm, the solderable CJS switches feature error-free changeover and adjustment and a single-pole, double-throw (SPDT) contact arrangement. Termination options include J-hook or gull-wing terminals. The CJS switches are compatible with most automatic pick-and-place machinery and can be supplied in tape-and-reel or bulk formats. With an operating-temperature range of -40°C to 85°C, the jumper switches can withstand a maximum reflow-solder temperature of 240°C. The CJS jumper switches start at $0.35 each for sealed versions and at $0.31 each for nonsealed versions. All pricing is for 75,000-unit quantities.
