Said to be the world’s first such device with an isolation voltage rating of 3 kV dc, the NTV dual-output dc/dc converters have a pc board footprint of just 1.64 cm2 and will maintain input-to-output isolation at the rated voltage for a minimum of 1 minute. The 1W converters are based on IC-style lead-frame technology and transfer molding techniques. They offer guaranteed pin coplanarity of 0.1 mm in accordance with IEC191-6:1990 and are fully compliant with CECC00802 standards for reflow soldering at 280°C. The 82%-efficient converters have 5 vdc or 12 vdc inputs and dual output options of 5, 9, 12 or 15 vdc. Load regulation is from 6% to 10% and nominal output ripple is as low as 41 mApk-pk.
