Mini SMT Device Brings Efficiency To PCB Testing

March 13, 2012
A “mini-pad” version of Keystone Electronics’ test points offers a cost-saving, safe option to printed-circuit board (PCB) testing. Its symmetrical flat-wire design enables high-strength, test-point-to-PCB bonding with a minimal footprint.
A “mini-pad” version of Keystone Electronics’ test points offers a cost-saving, safe option to printed-circuit board (PCB) testing. Its symmetrical flat-wire design enables high-strength, test-point-to-PCB bonding with a minimal footprint. The SMT test point accepts a variety of gripping probes to replace wire-wrap posts and turret terminals, suiting it for testing circuitry of high-density PCB packages.  Manufactured from phosphor bronze and silver plate, it can accommodate both lead-free solder and traditional reflow processing. Packaging is tape and reel. The device is compatible with most vacuum and mechanical pick-and-place assembly systems.
