Xi3 Module Computer

Xi3's Modular Computer (Fig. 1) is a compact PC that measures less than 4-in on a side. It can handle a range of 64-bit AMD x86 dual core processor. The low power version consumes less than 20W. The high end version runs a 2.2 GHz Athlon 4200+ processor.

The three board stack includes the processor board and two peripheral boards with HDMI outputs. The processor has access to 2Gbytes of DDR2 667/800 memory. Dual display support handles 1080p DVI, VGA, HDMI, LVDS and DP interfaces usig 128 Mbytes of side port memory. Blue-Ray hardware decode is provided as well. Analog and HDMI audio support is built-in. Other system interfaces include 6 USB 2.0 ports, 2 SATA II ports, Xi3p and PCIe 1x slot. The Xi3p connection brings out a USB 2.0, SATA and ePCIe port. One of the SATA ports is accessible via an eSATA connector. TPM security support is optional.

Power requirements are 19VDC at 3.42A. Pricing starts at $849.
