Motherboards Run Pentium IIs At 450 MHz

Oct. 1, 1998

This pair of high-performance Slot 1 Pentium II system boards allow Intel's CPU and chipset to run at clock speeds of 450 MHz. The Stallion BX motherboards are available in an ATX (Stallion BX SY-6BA) form factor for desktop workstations and entry-level servers and an AT footprint (Stallion BX SY-6BB) for low-cost yet high-performance systems. Both boards are said to maximize the performance of Intel's Slot 1 Pentium II CPU, 440BX AGPset, and front-side system bus of 100 MHz for a faster interface to core-logic components such as I/O and system memory.
