MPC8260 Module Offers Multiple Comm Channels

Combining a 603e 64-bit PowerPC core with multiple high-speed communications channels, the CMA282 module features the Motorola MPC8260 microprocessor, as well as a 10/100 Fast Ethernet and 10 Base T interfaces and 16 MB of local-bus SDRAM. Offered as an enhanced version of the company's Poplar II Motherboard, the CMA 111 offers new features including 32-Mbit of SDRAM and a GD82559 10/100-Mbit Ethernet controller. Other features include 1 MB of flash memory, one parallel and four serial ports, two 32-bit PCI slots, and a 2-line by 16-character LCD.
