PC And CompactFlash Card Connectors Have Ground

May 1, 2000

Designed for CompactFlash and PC Cards, these 50- and 68-contact card side connectors have integral ground contacts and solder-slux bearing leads. The integral ground contacts eliminate the need for board-mounted ground contacts. Solder-flux bearing lead technology mechanically attaches a precise and pre-determined amount of solder and flux to each contact lead. Assembly is accomplished by placing the connector on the edge of the pc board and applying heat to the point of solder reflow-- no additional solder, solder paste or flux is required. Price is $0.001 to $0.003 per contact.
