PCI Board Has An Eye For Imaging

April 1, 2001

With four video inputs and calibrated for consistent and repeatable image acquisition, the PCI-1409 plug-in board acquires high-resolution images from standard and nonstandard cameras with up to 1,024 gray scales. The image acquisition board also acquires color images of stationary objects from NTSC, PAL, and RGB cameras when operating in its StillColor mode, a feature that allows the acquisition of color images from traditional monochrome hardware.
This board, which replaces the NI PCI-1408, can acquire images in 8- or 10-bit mode at rates up to 60 frames/s using a double-speed progressive scan camera. Pricing for the PCI-1409 plug-in board starts at $1,195.
