For those who need to perform fine-pitch debugging and hand testing, the 100-5BG-010S-GEN prototyping adapter accommodates CSPs and BGAs with a 0.5-mm pitch and up to 100 pins. The adapter employs minimum trace lengths and attaches to a prototype board by extending all signals from the BGA pattern to the board's edge holes on a 2.54-mm pitch. Extra jumper pads are included for custom wiring and additional circuitry. Other features include a solder-resistant treatment that prevents solder bridges, silkscreen pin numbers for identification of signal locations, and extra access pins and points for monitoring signals. Custom versions are also available upon request. Single-unit price is $310. EMULATION TECHNOLOGY INC., Santa Clara, CA. (800) 232-7837.
