Designed to monitor +2.5V to +5.0V systems, these miniature devices reduce cost while eliminating the need for external components and adjustments. The MAX823/824/825 microprocessor supervisory circuits come in miniature, SC70 packages, which occupy only half the board space of the SOT package. All three devices offer an active-low, push-pull reset output while the MAX824/825 also employ an active-high, push-pull complementary output. Additional options include a manual reset input (MAX823/825) and a watchdog input (MAX823/824). The supervisory circuits feature seven preset thresholds of 4.63V, 4.38V, 3.08V, 2.93V, 2.63V, 2.32V and 2.19V with 2.5% accuracy over temperature. Whenever the supply voltage falls below the specified threshold, a reset signal is asserted and maintained for at least 140 ms after Vcc returns above the reset threshold. These 5-pin SC70 devices consume approximately 39% less power than the SOT devices, making them ideal for portable equipment. Prices start from $1.25.
