The industry's first Register Validation Board (RVB) is a test platform that can analyze the pre- and post-register address bus on registered dual inline-memory modules (DIMMs). The ability to analyze the bus lets designers ensure optimum system performance for the memory DIMMs. The RVB also enables users to observe simultaneous switching behavior of the register on a DIMM via a quick, easy, and accurate test that simulates real-life specific or worst-case address scenarios. Designers can then perform robust testing and analysis. Beyond register testing, the RVB can control additional factors in the test environment, including DIMM voltage, reference voltages, clock speeds, and timing relationships between the clocks and address and control signals.
