The DaqBoard 1000 PCI-based 16-bit, 200-kHz data-acquisition (DAQ) card offers synchronous analog, digital, and frequency I/Os; free extensive Linux software support; and DMA bus mastering. With that feature set, it still costs $375. All software drivers come free with the board, including Windows drivers and ActiveX components for popular programming languages like C++ and Visual Basic. It also supports third-party applications such as LabView and Matlab. A starter kit containing the board, a DacView2000 software CD, a TB-100 terminal board, and a CA-G56 shielded cable is available for $799.
