Plano, Texas: Diodes Incorporated has launched a family of small-signal bipolar transistors that are available in a tiny dual-flat no-lead (DFN) package measuring 1 by 0.6 mm (see the figure). The devices primarily target load- and signal-switching applications in smart phones and other portable applications that have space constraints for designers in terms of printed-circuit board (PCB) area. The company says these transistors provide a tenfold higher power density and good thermal performance.
