Measuring 2-mm high, the B5A vibrate motor is reportedly the thinnest motor of its kind in the industry. Its internal IC driver design also promises to reduce board space requirements and the cost of additional components. Using a brushless topology, the motor exhibits a one-million cycle working life span, as opposed to the average 200,000 to 300,000 cycles specified by comparable components. Additionally, the motor generates vibration rates of 11G for a 12-mm model or 9G for a 11-mm unit. As a custom product, the B5A will be priced for each individual application.
