VME Card Controls Synchro/Resolvers

Oct. 1, 1999

With up to 12 transformer-isolated, synchro/resolver-to-digital tracking converters that can be programmed for any combination of single- or two-speed converters on up to 12 channels, Model 6112 single-slot VMEbus card (0.8" form factor) includes an accuracy of ±1 arc-minute and programmable 5 VA ac reference supply. Each single-speed channel can be programmed for 10, 12, 14 or 16 bits, or 23 bits for two-speed resolution, or an automatic adaptive mode can be selected where resolution is optimized for the operating tracking rate. Applications are flight control navigation, weapons fire-control and vehicle engine control. Other features include digital velocity output and LATCH capability. The board operates with reference frequencies from 50 Hz to 10 kHz. It also provides auto-phase correction to ±45º, a wrap-around self-test mode, and self-test diagnostics.
